Core The cores are constructed of the highest quality, non-aging, high permeability cold-rolled, oriented silicon steel. Because these cores are tightly bound with speical glass bandage and applied with epoxy adhesive after laminating, the iron loss and noise are minimized.
Winding Transformer winding is designed to withstand surges, the peaks of which are many times the normal working voltage of the system, and to avoid excessive partial temperature rising inside of the winding. And the winding has a superior short-circuit strength by circular concentric coil design with pressure rings and strong clamp frames. And the windings are designed to have smooth initial voltage distribution throughout the winding by proper application of cylinderical winding, herical winding, continuous disc winding and high series capacitance winding, and capacitance shield rings.
Insulation The best quality krraft papers are used to provide the most insulation strength. IEC's insulation system has over two times of generally accepted insulation requirement by using specially filtered purified insulating oil.
Tank The basic design consideration for the construction of the tank is its ability to withstand a perfect vacuum. Therefore, the walls, cover and bottom of the tank are designed as plane surfaces strengthened with stiffening profiles. The inner and outer joints of the tank are welded on both sides to protect from any possible damage during transportation, installation and other handling procedure.
